"Romance and philosophy combine in this engaging, imaginative tale of a grizzled LSU professor Rabbi Baraq Broulliette and Sara, widowed when her husband of 25 years died of cancer and still finding her new single life baffling. Their story, told by four who love them, brings varied viewpoints to the same problem: Being alone and searching."
YOU ARE INVITED TO LSU, WHERE OUR STORY BEGINS:
Ivory stretched her long legs toward the sun, luxuriating in the warmth that enveloped her as she exited the safety of the car.
Beginning with her first visit, the Louisiana landscape always had welcomed her, and she could sense the tensions of life being released as she strolled across the huge LSU campus, headed for the Quad. Spreading oak trees created a gentle pattern of shade-sun above the paved walkways and lush landscaping. Pink azaleas and purple crepe myrtles splashed color against the rich greenery, while the lemon-scent of magnolia trees wafted through the balmy air.
Yes, she loved the university campus, but Ivory was a sun bunny, not a scholar, and she had come to enjoy the sun, the sights, and the enticing aromas.
Now, surrounded by classic Southern ambiance and handsome, hundred-year-old buildings enclosing the Quad, Ivory lost herself in daydreams. This was the ideal setting for a picnic and it perfectly suited her mood. Once the heart of campus life, the “Quad,” as the Quadrangle had been known since its dedication in 1926, now offered a nostalgic look back at what was and what might have been.....COME, JOIN US!
